Christian Calderon Pinon

Christian was an undergraduate student majoring in neuroscience and minoring in chemistry. He was interested in exploring all the fascinating aspects of neuroscience, neuroscience research, and neurodegenerative diseases. Previously, Christian served as a part of the TBI project where he helped investigate the effects of repetitive mild TBI/concussion and if targeting the NHE1 protein on oligodendrocytes, astrocytes, or neurons was protective. Outside of the lab, Christian worked as an emergency medicine technician at NorthWest EMS during the weekends. After graduating, Christian wanted to attend medical school and specialize in neurosurgery. During the summer, Christian drove an ice cream truck and loved to take his dog Kobe on hikes.
